  78. that then is played back on equipment that misses the "sync" to the cable 
  79. channel it's supposed to play on so you miss a few seconds of the program..

  82. DSS leads me to think that we're about to have another setback on the

  194. and exscessive coffee drinking, try to offset those with regular physical
  195. activity and healthy sleeping and eating habits.

  198. the high voltage supply, never climb your tower without a safety belt, don't
  199. string feedlines and antennas too close to power lines.

  217. Has anyone received a notice of upgrades on PKGOLD or KAGOLD.
  218. It seems that there has been many since Version 9 date 3-15-94
  219. and REGISTERED users are **NOT** notified like other commercial
  220. software.
  221. It seems that they now have more upgrades than AEA eproms.  Its
  222. seems We the users must keep updated ourself by AT&T.  At nearly
  223. $100.00 per-model version we could get notified.  My mailbox is 
  224. always full of upgrade notices from other les costly software
  225. companys.

  259. Try anonymous FTP to "oak.oakland.edu". You will find several
  260. morse programs in "pub/hamradio/mac/theory-and-morse". I have
  261. used a program called "MorseTrainer 1.1.1". It is very good. I believe,
  262. it is written by a Swedish guy.

  347.      The rapidly changing face of amateur radio was evident at the annual
  348. Board of Directors of Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) meeting in Calgary on
  349. July 27 and 28.
  350.  
  351.      Here are a few highlights of the many important issues confronted by
  352. RAC's Board:
  353.  
  354.      RAC's Board elected a new streamlined executive with Farrell Hopwood,
  355. VE7RD, as President; Tim Ellam, VE6SH, as First Vice-President; Jim Dean,
  356. VE3IQ, as Vice-President Government Affairs and Ken Pulfer, VE3PU, as
  357. Secretary-Treasurer.  In addition, the Board appointed executive assistants
  358. Debbie Norman as General Manager and Tim Ray, VE3XV, as Honourary Legal
  359. Counsel.
  360.  
  361.      In keeping with the federal government's desire to have amateurs control
  362. their own destiny through the delegation of the administration of the Amateur
  363. Radio Service to RAC, much attention was devoted to the progress of the joint
  364. RAC/Industry Canada working group.
  365.  
  366.      Jim Dean, VE3IQ, apprised the Board of the significant progress made in
  367. only a few months toward amateurs taking responsibility for the process -
  368. operator certification, call sign assignment and document distribution.
  369. Issues of station licensing and spectrum surveillance and management remain at
  370. the stage of very early discussion.
  371.  
  372.      The Board was pleased with the results of discussions with Radio Amateur
  373. du Quebec inc. (RAQI) to have that organization assist RAC in providing future
  374. delegated service to almost one-third of Canadians who speak French.
  375.  
  376.      The Board members were encouraged by the progress being made in the band
  377. planning processes.  Reports submitted by both the HF and VHF/UHF Band
  378. Planning Committees indicated that the work to arrive at a national consensus
  379. on these plans is progressing very satisfactorily.  These volunteer band plans
  380. are well on their way toward completion and publication.
  381.  
  382.      George Spencer, VE3AGS, Chairman of the RAC/IARU Niagara 95 Conference
  383. submitted a report on the arrangements and organization to host this important
  384. international conference.  This is the first time Canada has had this
  385. privilege.

  392.      An election for the full slate of candidates for the Board of directors
  393. of the Radio Amateurs of Canada will take place this fall.

  398.      All nominations must be received at Kingston by September 1, 1994.
  399. Nominations must be signed by 10 RAC Members, and must be accompanied by a
  400. biographical sketch of up to 300 words in length.  To be eligible, candidates
  401. must be full Members of RAC, and must be resident in the Region for which they
  402. are nominated.

  449. I like the Hosstraders, traditionally know as the 'Deerfield' fleamarket in Rochester, NH. The fall
  450. event is in October.  Rochester is about an hour from Boston.  You should have

  495. That may have sounded like a stupid question, but a visit to the local
  496. ham radio store convinced me that 99% of the VHF stuff they sell are HT's,
  497. plus some less than enthusiastic responses from some local hams.

  568. This has already been done on an experimental basis here in the Annaoplis
  569. area: A cooperating ham otransmits a differential signal on the same
  570. freq as the APRS net. Receive it thru your TNC and it goes into the
  571. GPS receiver. Works fine.
